2003. Winter toiled around the city at open mic nights impressioned by DJs and their excellent use of soul,funk,hip-hop samples at house parties and the buzzing bands at Uncle Midriff's jazz society. This introduced Winter to an extensive catalogue of music and ideas contributing to his alternative background ------------- The Toucan club - the most permanent of open mics nights become somewhat of a mecca for everyone involved in the music of the city. -------------- Winter was later joined by G.Williams on guitar and began writing together, performing as a duo. Two years passed gradually finding their own stylee the duo were joined at moments with Sam from 'Prisoners of the Sun' and James Palser (now studying music in Newcastle uni) on percussion. Mark Watson joined on bass with luscious groove in august 2005. Ben Harris joined November 2005 on Kit, also contributing harmony and percussion. Winter & Williams are exhaustivly known throughout every nook of the Cardiff music scene as a duo by playing many of its venues. Now a band, they continue writing with their own original sound and method of intelligent, unique songwriting.
