We’re All Armed were formed in 2006 after Rob and Steve started using music as an escape from the mundaneness of their call centre jobs. It was these sessions that formed the beginnings of the band. An advert was for a drummer was answered by James Davies who had just left the Essex punk band Heffer. Robs friend Tim Richards, already a solid guitar player, offered to buy a bass guitar and amp and play bass in the band. After a hundred different name suggestions, and 6 months of solid practice We’re All Armed emerged.

The debut EP was recorded in early June 2007 and several packed out shows (see pics) have since followed. The band are now looking to take their unique sound to the rest of the UK (maybe the world!) This will hopefully be done through supporting better known artists and the support of a manager or record company.

We’re All Armed somehow manage to create songs that have the energy of great British punk, the ambience of post rock and are one step ahead of the current indie sound.

Indeed their roots in punk have been noticed by the guitarist from legendary punk band SHAM69! After listening to song on the band’s Myspace Dave Parsons left the following comment:
