About us


Ronan, Joe and Richard formed Wake Up Call in late 2005 due to a shared love of the same music
such as and a wish to cover songs they loved and write some new ones. Gradually over time the line-up changed with Alex joined for a school Battle of the Bands in late 2006 and Wake Up Call started to write more of their own material with Ronan as the primary songwriter, Joe arranging the music and Richard and Alex writing their own parts. Wake Up Call really came together when Mike joined in late 2007 and they entered the next school Battle of the Bands early in the new year, finsihing as runners-up but pleasing the crowds with two new originals aswell as covers of Muse's 'Supermassive Black Hole' and a re-working of Scissor Sisters' 'Filthy/Gorgeous' and marking a real turning point for the band. Since then they have played more gigs and are looking forward ot playing many more in the following months with a debut EP due to be recorded later in the summer.
