About us
Well you see, Veer are the result of a passionate one night stand between Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger. They woke up the next day with one hell of a hangover, thoroughly regretting what they did. They never spoke of the incident again.
Little baby Veer was then tossed into the wild like a feral child – left to fend for itself.
Times were hard for little baby Veer growing up the modern world of a potentially overcrowded music scene. Throughout their harsh years in the wilderness, Veer began to associate with a rough crowd. The likes of Axel n’ Slash and the infamous ‘toxic twins’ Steven Tyler and Joe Perry let young Veer crash on their floor occasionally, but they were in no fit state to act as a stable parental figure.
However, the likes on John Frusciante and Flea, having just cleaned up their act and been reborn into a new genre of music greeted Veer’s curiosity for funk-rock with open arms. The band then began to develop and open its eyes to the glorious and vast world of other contemporary influences. After finding a stable working environment, little baby Veer was now ready to take off the training wheels… and become a band.
It’s been a fair rollercoaster of a ride for Veer to get to where they are today. Having finally established what they believe to be their own unique sound which incorporates contemporary influences with what originally inspired them and previous bands to write music, they believe they offer a fresh sound which doesn’t ignore the foundations of rock music.
