About us


Under The Thumb formed in early 2006 and although we have had a few line up changes over the years we have progressed very steadily into the current line up from various musical backgrounds.
We now all have the same aims for the future and are really enjoying writing and recording lots of new funk tracks and playing to new audiences.

With a growing reputation as an energetic entertaining live act our alternative funky style creates an exciting sound and makes us one of Kent's must-see live bands.
In 2007 we were chosen to headline The Maidstone Hospital Radio Soundstage at the annual Maidstone River Festival. It was a great success!! Our intentions this year are to play more festivals and gigs throughout the year.
