About us
Once upon a time a little band formed under the shadow of the Athenian Olive trees. Ok, there arent any Olive trees in Athens, but a little band did form. Travel is paradoxically a new yet veteran band, having worked hard and played hard together since 2004. The idea Travel (which was initially to take over the world) could go beyond its own Hellenic walls occurred five long years later, when the band realised it was time for a dramatic change in style, and approach. It was unanimously agreed that this drastic change was the only thing that would overcome their music stagnation. When Nicholas (learned how to play the drums with a metronome) and Jimmy (vocals) moved to England their musical goals were enhanced a thousand fold. The call was instant; their old band mates Dennis the Menace (guitar) and Paul (keyboards) immediately responded to the emerging opportunity. The realities of the defunct rock scenes in Italy, Greece and Cyprus became a distant memory.
Travel Mind Syndrome is a band that combines its influences from their various birthplaces and blending 70s and the 90s under the prism of modernity. The effect of Muse, Coldplay and Porcupine Tree coupled with the various individual influences puts together the amalgam of their unique pop/rock/electro robust sound.
