Trash Fashion continue their path to world domination with the release of the Why Can?t We be Friends? EP on 10 March 2008. As has come to be expected from the warehouse rockers, the release will be supported by a mammoth, second UK tour, which will kick off in February. Shortly after the EP’s release, Trash Fashion will go transatlantic for the second time in as many years when they appear at the legendary global taste-making festival South by Southwest, in Austin, Texas, as guest performers. Kerrang Magazine has cherry picked the band in their 'High Five' of bands to catch at the festival.

The EP’s title track Why Can’t We Be Friends?, demonstrates a new depth to the band’s sonic landscape and marks a move towards the dark side. Trash Fashion’s evolved sound stands shoulder-to-shoulder with such genre bashing contemporaries as Hadouken!, The Ghost Frequency and The Horrors. The new material is a heady coktail of grinding guitars, thunderous bass, spiralling synths and shattering vocals with a darker lyrical content. The EP is backed with two b-sides, the speedy rocktronic Something IV Nothing, the prog-come-electro juggernaut Too Much Pressure and two tantalising remixes of the lead track from multi-talented band members and brothers Jet and Mason Storm.

Record of The Day – "Trash Fashion continue to impress with strong genre-bridging songs like this, the lead from their next EP 'Why Cant We Be Friends'...A band capable of wide appeal."
Subba-Cultcha - "Jerky, electronic tinged, angular pop-rock....Bridging the gap between Garbage, Sh*tdisco and Jesus Jones, Trash Fashion make a gleeful noise – full of eighties camp and noughties ubercool. Effortlessly talented – and most importantly, they know how to structure a song. Hurrah!"
Kissy Sell Out, Radio 1 – “The best thing to come out of Birmingham, I love this band – go and see Trash Fashion!”
Artrocker – “Trash Fashion Need you to dance. Join the ranks and get down with kids… Its way more fun and if you do it to „Mom & Daddy? it?ll prove how much you love them”
The Times – “The scene has it?s own pin-up – Jet Strom the singer from Trash Fashion”
Super Super – “Convincingly menacing and cute, Trash Fashion are Motely Crue meets The Muppet Show with a splash of the Beastie Boys chucked in the mix”
