About us


The Vickers are a Rock-Pop band born in Florence at the end of 2006. Between 2006 and 2007, making their first live experiences, they have been playing many gigs in live-music pubs and rock festivals. In January 2008 they have been chosen by David Bash for playing at the Internaional Pop Overthrow (IPO), traveling music festival, for the Liverpool’s Cavern stage, held from the 20 and the 26 of May. Their songs reveal care for melody and pursuit of simpleness. They are able to make compositions, using a very simple songwriting, but very angry and hard songs as well, where the guitars and the voices remind us english and american classic backgrounds. They are fond of ranging over different musical styles, and believe in the song form as expression of different feelings that you could get in various moments of your life. This is because they are convinced, above all, that a song is got to be ever sincere. The band, in past radio interviews, publicy announced their suicide in case they wouldn’t be able to record an album, firmly determined to take with themselves anyone obstructed ’em. Otherwise, if they would have made it, they would spread love over the world as much as possible. Currently The Vickers have signed on 3th of June 08 with Foolica Records and they will be in studio in mid September 2008 to work on their debut album. so, maybe... LOVE will be spread all over.
