About us
The Sundancer
The Sundancer is a solo acoustic act from Scotland. Inspired by the likes of Julian Cope, Syd Barrett, John Lennon and Marc Bolan, The Sundancer’s music is lo-fi pop with a twist of psychedelia, and a dash of rocknroll.
The Sundancer has played in venues all over Scotland from experimental nights at Glasgow’s CCA, late nights and early mornings in Whistlebinkies, the Beanscene coffee houses and venues such as the Opal Rooms and Stereo in Glasgow.
Out of The Woods is The Sundancer’s current EP with both Aching To Return and Surrender reaching the top 5 in various internet charts. The Sundancer is currently working on new material with Glasgow Producer Awesomeindy and expect further releases throughout the year.
Many songs are on rotation at The Sundancer’s MySpace page and a video of Shamanic Mechanic that was recorded in June 2006 and EP’s will soon be available online at www.thesundancer.co.uk

Some quotes on The Sundancer:
‘I also really dig the OUT OF THE WOODS E.P. by The Sundancer. It has that ever-increasing loose acoustic soul groove found on the first Dino Valente LP or maybe the first two Stephen Stills albums. I wish the songs were at least twice as long, but this first statement has a beautiful end of a hot summer vibe about them. ‘ Julian Cope
‘Shades of Scottish Donovan, after many years in the lo-fi wilderness and bar-room obscurity, Sundancer brings us his own taste of gently twisted of acoustica.’ Ragtime.com
