About us
“Choke down and hook it up to the mains…
...Strike Up The Band!”
The Stolen Coda are pleased to announce the arrival of our new EP, christened ‘Breakneck Rumba’, which came kicking and screaming, then swinging and swaggering into the world on Thursday 30th October 2008, after a short but intense four day gestation in the studio.
New tracks available soon on CD and download...
01. Cough It Up
02. Strike Up The Band
03. Devil Don't Care
04. Jake Legged
05. Barrelhouse
06. Stone The Crows
The tracks will soon be available to buy digitally through all the obvious places, iTunes, Amazon, Napster, eMusic and Rhapsody as the highest possible quality mp3 files, or if you prefer the more traditional approach, on (what is now) good old fashioned CD from us.
The recording of the EP took place over the course of four days in mid September with the mixing and mastering process being completed in the last week of October.
We strongly believe that despite the short window of time we had to record, we have been able to cram into those four days and these six tracks everything that The Stolen Coda is about. In fact the ever looming deadline worked in our favour, forcing us to focus and gave our work the spontaneity and the sense of urgency we were looking for.
‘We hope whoever hears it will enjoy it…’
Thank you, The Stolen Coda
