About us

Formed in 2004 The Shadowcops have the idea of the Big Riff, the Big Chorus followed by Even Bigger Riffs to go with more hooklines than a John West fishing boat.

The first track is currently unreleased and the other two tracks on here are taken from our 3rd EP, Ready When You Are.

Leave your egos by the door, come in and get sweaty with The Shadowcops rock n roll show, what are you waiting for?

Ready When You Are - 2007

'My My, My Personal Ennui', is where we see what The Shadowcops really have to offer though. Tight, yet not giving a f**k. Catchy, yet dirt ridden. Brilliant, yet unpretentious" - Leeds Music Scene.

Case#2094: The Positronic Malfunction - 2006

"If you're a fan of music so rocking it vibrates your brain, this is for you" - Pow Pow Pow

"In just 16 minutes they’ve put together a more satisfying package than many bands can squeeze out of a full-length album, that is worthy of many multiple plays in your stereo. These are some cops you want to keep your eye on, who aren’t just churning out the spiel they read in the training manual" - Against Them

"Anyone in the dark about ‘The Shadowcops’, should get out there and purchase the beam of light that is, “Case #2094”, and let it shine. It is, quite simply, honest, fast, in-it-for-the-fun, type music, and it needs to be heard" - God Is In The TV

LIVE:

15/05/2008 - The Dry Bar, Manchester

Whilst the last two bands are brilliant enough the night really belongs to SHADOWCOPS, a band so loud, so together and so astoundingly energetic that my ears are choked by the decibels. This quartet often have all three of the guitar wielding members singing at once, but even when there's a lead vocal from Mike P or Nathan, it strips off the wall paper and through the sonic hurricane, it's possible to get a glimpse of a band who are great on record and incendiary live. It's hard to describe the sheer force of this sound, especially when they seem to create it so effortlessly – the guitars are as big as the side of a bus and clearly, there's a commitment to and celebration of the post punk rock generation which is reflected in their last tune, a (superior) cover of a Replacements song. Another hot tip for a band who are only just starting out, yet seem capable of even bigger, maybe even world changing things. - JA - Music-Dash.co.uk

14/04/08 - The Retro Bar, Manchester

The Shadowcops have got their balls out and they're inviting you to suck them. - John Simpson Cow & Field

24/03/08 - The Mercury Flux, Preston

Deafeningly loud and with more energy than the national grid, watching The Shadowcops is like watching a amphetamine bomb crash into a planet i.e loud, explosive and speedy as f**k!

The clever b******s have planted some of the catchiest choruses this side of a Wildhearts gig. In summary, f**king ACE.
