About us
Some say “psychedelic,” some “Indie rock;” Alternative? The Rudimentary Confusions’ unique style is hard to categorise and should not be thrown in the same bag as ‘indie’ or ’rock‘; music of no fixed abode not ridding on that same old band wagon. There are many elements that can be describe the band, such as being psychedelic with a blues twist, previously being compared to Jimi Hendrix and Kula Shaker. The band have played at key venues throughout the UK including appearing at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. The band make regular live appearances at venues throughout London and the South East and have received airplay on various radio stations; this combined with their rapidly growing fan base and massively successful live sound certainly makes the Rudimentary Confusion a band bursting with potential.
“In the current climate, their sound has a real potential to make its mark.”
Soho Strut Magazine
The ‘Confusions’ recordings have seen an unpredictable focus on strong rhythms and punchy lyrics combined with courageous fusions of jazz and country which creates a beautifully innovative sound. (The Without You Blues is a prime example of this exciting and highly creative fusion). In recent songs the band have stripped their material back to the very bones of Rock ‘n Roll, keeping it raw, drenching them with heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums.
