About us
"A mixture between Type O Negative and Paradise Lost, with something extra"
The Pseudo Philosophers are an up and coming Gothic Progressive Rock/Metal band based in London. With influences from Type O Negative, Sisters of Mercy, Dream Theater, Within Temptation and Rammstein to name a few, their style has been likened to a mixture between Type O Negative and Paradise Lost.
Originally formed in November 2003 and reformed in January 2006, the band have gone through a steady transformation while still holding three of the four original members, PhanTom, Finlay and Andy. They have gigged in the likes of Brighton, Reading, Hastings, Central London and sunny old Croydon throughout the years, including venues such as the Black Sheep Bar, the Marlborough Theatre, The Rock Garden, The Standard Music Venue, the Caernarvon Castle and The Underworld.
The band are currently working on their debut album, while performing in and around London, recently with the gothic rock band, The Faces of Sarah.
