About us

The one day speakers are creating a name for themselves on the Scottish music scene. The four piece hailing from Edinburgh, sound British through and through. Thriving on energy and creativity in their songs, the witty, life commentery lyrics are matched by both driving melodies and uplifting counterpoints. Their live performances are raw and energetic, and never fail to get the crowd moving! Influences range from Mod-era Punk and 2-Tone, British Invasion, Brit-Pop, through to current Indie-Punk.

The original line-up of the band formed in September 2005, but it was early 2007 before they became the band they are today. Since then The one day speakers have booked support slots with Scotland's My Electric Love Affair and Ten to Five Project, and played to near-sold out crowds at Edinburgh's Cabaret Voltaire and The Exchange, and have recently been invited to support The Proclaimers for the Scottish leg of their UK tour.
