About us

Two songwriters, Euan Lynch and Andrew Ferguson, were brought together in the late summer of 2004 by their love of music before starting to busk together in the parks of Glasgow.
Frontman, Fergie first realise the true potential of his song writing ability while jamming with ex libertines frontman Pete Doherty during one of his infamous Albion Rooms sessions. A solo gig followed which invited Euan on stage to perform a rendition of their song "Bones". What they now needed was 2 more members.

In Mid December 2004 they were both recruited. Both were called John. John Donnelly plays drums and John Rabey plays bass, he dances too.

Since their first show in Glasgows legendary Stereo less than two years ago The Project have been hand picked to open for some of the UK’s hottest bands, The Arctic Monkeys, Babyshambles, The Paddingtons and The Fratellis to name a few, playing to sell out crowds each time.

They are fast becoming one of the must see bands in the country. We'll see you at the top....... Need we say any more.

Regular gigs around Glasgow, Fife, Dundee and Aberdeen in venues such as The QMU, King Tuts, Barfly, Stereo, Barrowlands, Carling Academy, Nice n sleazys, Firewater, Box, Capitol, The Doghouse, Fat Sams, Moshulu, The tunnels and The Greenside as well as down south at the Carlisle Brickyard and in London at the Brixton Windmill have made the band an experienced live act and brought a hardcore following of fans.

Throughout 2006/07 The Project were hand picked to open for some of the UK’s hottest bands, The Arctic Monkeys, Babyshambles and The Paddingtons playing to sell out crowds each time. They have also played along side some of Scotlands finest, Figure 5, The Dykiniees, The Fratellies, The view, The Law, Sergeant and The Ronnells.
