About us
Madame Riviere the debut single by The Krak is out on June 30th 2008 as a strictly limited edition CD & ‘lipstick pink’ vinyl! It is exclusively available from www.militantentertainment.com
“We’ve heard the track and we predict the song’ll be a sure-fire hit…” – The London Paper
You may have already heard about The Krak. If not, you should have. The four-piece’s perma-grin guitar pop monsters have been making party people dance from Shoreditch to The French Alps for twelve months plus. Famed for their raucous studio shows at their base in Old Street, that has seen everyone from Noel Fielding to members of Kasabian join their fan club, the two boy two girl quartet’s vocal sharing chart-friendly corkers are fun factor central. It’s a case of dance not and you’ll be sitting alone.
But want to know why the name really rings a bell? It’s because The Krak are no ordinary band. In fact they’re pretty out of the ordinary. In just over a year the London based foursome have achieved things most groups take a lifetime to. They’ve been featured on national TV. Loads. Had radio sessions a plenty. Played a gig to gorillas in London Zoo. Done their own guerilla gig thing at clothes shops around London. They were the first band to ever, that’s ever, play the iconic Orient Express and the quartet took their travelling tour on a Routemaster bus for an acoustic show round the streets of London town. The band have even been personally requested to perform at celeb studded high profile parties thrown by everyone from Jodie Harsh to Kelly Osbourne. Shucks, they even made Velvet Revolver dance. But, you know what, they’re still yet to release a single…
Well, that’s about to change. In your hands now lies their stunning debut Madame Riviere out on the Rock Against Racism label - Militant Entertainment. Already given the thumbs up by Xfm the three minuter of rabble-rousing glory is a mere snippet of what’s to come. And it’s already wet some important taste buds - The Krak have recently been requested to open up this year’s Glastonbury festival as well as playing a set on the Left Field stage. Heck – they’re even going to make history by becoming the first group ever to rock up ‘n’ play for holiday-making tourists at world famous Madame Tussauds London. But don’t just listen to us hack on about how great they are, listen to those really in the know...
“This band are going somewhere. And fast. Ones to watch” – Artrocker Magazine
“This four-some have their battered Converses firmly on the ladder to fame - future chart bashers – Daily Star
“One of the most exciting new British bands around” – Maxim
“The Krak craft some heavy weight songs - 2008 could be a very big year for them” – tourdates.co.uk
