About us


Previously known as Paper Dreams, The Guilty Pleasures are a tight four piece indie rock band from Essex. They cite influences such as The Beatles, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, Pigeon Detectives, Robbie Williams, Oasis, Iron Maiden, Eagles, Fountains Of Wayne and Jason Mraz.

Dan, Charlie, Gary and Gil have all been playing their respective instruments for a while. Dan has been playing for two years and lately found an interest in singing. Charlie has been playing guitar for over seven years and also recently found he enjoyed singing also. Gary has been playing the drums since he climbed out of his cot. The session musician Gil Matthews who has played lead for the band in Charlie's abscence on more than one occasion has been playing for over thirty years and singing for at least ten.

Seperated, they are nothing. Together, they are The Guilty Pleasures that we should all indulge in.
