The Faff are a four-piece infectious electro indie band hailing from
Wakefield, West Yorkshire (home of The Cribs, Forward Russia! and Groove Armada) giving an electronic twist to the traditional indie punk scene. Will, George, Joe and Ryan are a group of experienced musicians influenced by Test Icicles, Klaxons and The Maccabees. Their sound is a collision of complex bass lines, powerful drums and catchy synths contrasting with punchy vocals that has become so noticeable in their live shows. Their explosive energy on stage as well as their tight live sound is what makes the band so recognisable and infectious.

Since forming in mid 2005 the four began writing, recording and mixing
everything themselves in a local studio using there skills in production gained through studying music technology in college. Through this they created their first EP '6 Ways to Break the Silence' which sold out the first batch. They are now regularly in and out of the studio working with producer Ben Hammond at The Chairworks Studios in Castleford who has previuosly worked with Jooles Holland, Status Quo and Shed Seven.

From the summer of 2006 the band have extensively toured the UK picking up a large and loyal fan-base; played several sold out local headlining shows and have shared the stage with bands such as Hadouken!, Glasvegas,
Thec()cknbullkid, The Hair, :(, Dartz!, Trash Fashion, Tiger Force and The Sugars. This has led to constant callbacks from local venues such as The Boardwalk-Sheffield, Josephs Well-Leeds and Escobar-Wakefield (hosts to Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, Pidgeon Detectives, Shit Disco, Jack Penate, The Maccabees and The Wombats) which has secured their place in the Yorkshire music scene, attracting an ever increasing number of fans to every gig , they're becoming one of the most exciting new live bands on their local scene at the moment.
