About us
Born from the ashes of their previous musical collaboration, The Deletes took the experience gained from playing as five piece Wild Oscar and focused it in a new musical direction. Minus one guitar the band have spent a careful period time sculpting a more experimental and edgier sound.
2006 saw the band make their first tentative steps towards world domination with the creation of their debut demo and the first chances to inflict their sound upon the masses. The year was capped off with a very successful gig, played at the infamous Glasgow Barfly.
Demands of work, money and love however would bring any progress to a shuddering halt.
Enter 2007 and the band take to rehearsals with a renewed vigor and enthusiasm buoyed perhaps by the break or new year alcohol consumption. Songs appeared easier to come by and a progression from their earlier material was becoming apparently evident. It would not be long before the band were ready to unleash upon the world once again.
So, here we are, July 2007, in a nice run of gigs and still eager to push our own limits and boundaries. Our main aim is still world domination although more in a metaphircal sense now - we just want to make music that we, and hopefully the general populace enjoy.
We hope to see you soon.
