About us


The Chinese Marbles are a longish story . we began in a pub in Macclesfield
The Blueberry . . .(playing for 'free' beer!!)in 1994, .
Playing blues , Bowie , Beatles and anything we could muster to keep the attending folks from killing us !! . the beer idea soon wore off when the landlord realised we were (i was)drinking more than the average pub fee (not too hard that is it guys ?!).
Many have been onboard in the past (by invitation) and some have gone on to slightly greater things !! (of their own free will). We gather together and create/play music . it's great fun/freedom . . . i love it and you won't meet a nicer bunch of people . No ego's and all good hearts !!
The myspace site isn't done yet . being a space cadet helps this sort of task and i'm afraid i ain't one !! I promise we will get things sorted and in the meantime get up to lots of mischief !!
We are an 8 piece band so i need more pictures !! hahaha . . we are based in Macclesfield . we are all types of musician so we play all types of music from Rock to Reggae . . . soul to silly !! . . including our own material .. We play live in and around Macclesfield . come see and speak to us !! We have drinks and so should you !!!! . so onwards to see what is round the corner . . . ( what corner??!!) find peace and share it !
