About us


The Arkanes, formally known as Silverchild, are a four piece Alternative/Rock band from Skelmersdale. Founded by Lead Vocalist/guitarist Chris Pate they formed in early 2006,with Guitarist Adam Sheeran, Bassist/Vocalist Lee Dummett and were completed early 2008 by Andy Long on the drums.

The band pride themselves on high energy live performances,with songs that stand up against any bands (signed or unsigned). The Bands first gig was in May 2007, and despite the bands relatively short existence, they have already gained a loyal fanbase locally and out of town, and with an EP release expected in late 2008 followed by a UK tour, The Arkanes are definitely a band to look out for in the near future.
