About us
SpearBrave are a five piece band and each of its members bring their own influences which they hope will make all their songs sound quite different. The band formed about two years ago, starting with Sean Cleary(guitar) and Andrew Robertson(bass). However, it wasn't until about a year later that they started practicing when the drummer Mark Maley was introduced. With a few songs already written the band began to take shape and when Declan Cleary joined as the singer things began to progress even more. This continued for about a year, but believing the band needed a bit more depth to their songs, they added Michael Timmons(lead guitar) to the group and he brought just what the band needed. With Michael also composing his own stuff, the band found they had quite a varied mix of songs. They have played in Venues all over Glasgow Edinbourgh, Newcastle and London, and have recently played at the Glasgow Carling Academy in the final of the Emergenzia Battle of the Bands(15/07/07). they have been in 3 featured articles in the Scotish Sun most recently
December 14th as "ones to watch". They are now preparing to travel down to Newcstle for just one song to try and win over the majority English crowd.
