CURRENTLY ON TOUR AS MAIN SUPPORT WITH THE BLUETONES.

Described as Coldplay meets the Beatles whilst having a cup of tea and chicken with Snow Patrol and South. Simons voice fits somewhere between Neil Diamond, Bono and Chris Martin.

Recreation are a four piece Indie/Pop band which formed in January 2006 with 2 members from
Southampton and 2 from neighbouring city Portsmouth.

Since recording their demo CD in June 2006
Recreation have drawn the attention of numerous radio stations and developed an impressive fanbase.

Recreation’s first gig was in March 2006 was supporting indie pioneers Inspiral Carpets frontman, Tom Hingley. They’ve also supported many other great acts including The Bluetones & New Rhodes. Recreation are already a favourite band at the legendary Joiners venue in Southampton but have played some other great venues including the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, The Brook in Southampton, Camden Barfly, Rock Garden in Covent Garden & Junktion 7 in Nottingham.

Jordan (lead) was the last to join the band in a re-shuffle in February 07 and since then they’ve played Festivals in Bournemouth, Southampton and Gosport and numerous radio stations across the South, the highlight being BBC South Live! Recreation won the panel of industry experts who compared them to Radiohead and recommended them as a future tip for Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage.

Recreation have a talent for writing epics with big choruses and sweeping melodies that long for a big stage but do have a hugely diverse repertoire of songs, with a mixture of anthemic epics and catchy melodies which grab your heart and soul. They have been described as fitting between the likes of Coldplay, Snow Patrol, U2, the Bluetones and South. Simon’s vocals that have been compared to Chris Martin, Bono & Neil Diamond.

The band recorded a second 4-track demo E.P. entitled Now or Never, recorded and mixed at Vivid
Studios, where Southampton band The Delays recorded their B-sides which they released in January 07.

After a busy summer, playing a number of festivals, Recreation secured a tour as main support band to The Bluetones and recorded the White EP to take on tour with producer Tom Doyle which includes live favourite 'Kids' and radio favourite 'Blind.'
