About us


P.O.T.S.O formed about 2 years ago. We were basicaly a bunch of youths from Kirkliston(a village near Edinburgh) with nothing better to do than drink and listen to music. We decided to form a band and couldn't think of a decent name, so P.O.T.S.O has stuck! The bass player left soon after the bands first few gigs and the spot was taken up by Richards older brother Dave.
We used to play Fridays and Saterday night gigs at Nectar bar, after its closure last year things went quite for a while..
We have started giging again with our first one for ages at The Three Tuns in Edinburgh thanks to Norman(the new band manager), we have played another(although rather drunken) gig at bannermans and have an upcoming gig at subway cowgate on the 28th April.
We have been writing and recording some new material which we hope to upload over the next few months.
Our influences are The Pixies, Bright Eyes, The Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, Nirvana, The White Stripes and similar stuff..
