Birches First School, Staffordshire, 1980, April-ish:

There’s a new boy in class on the first day of term. Andy is particularly concerned about 2 things. a) That a new boy should appear in the middle of a school year. Where did he come from? And b) Why does he look like a monkey?
Andy thinks to himself that he must find out.
This was the first time Andy King and Martin Warlow met

Andy’s Mom’s house, Summer 1987:

Andy’s got a new keyboard. A proper one with a disk drive, programmable sequencer, drums and everything! Martin comes round to have a look and stands open-mouthed.
This was Andy and Martin’s first band practice

NowAssassin

Andy King (vocals, bass) is a modern cross-breed of a cultured, well read, bohemian, hedonistic beer monster. He spends most of his time writing songs on his 6-string guitar with 5 stings and planning the next night of debauchery. Andy spends the rest of his time reading dictionaries, sleeping and thinking.

Martin Warlow (guitar, vocals) would like to think of himself as a renaissance man, but is in reality Andy’s primary collaborator with most things musical and alcohol based. Apart from the above, Martin spends his time learning about aquatic birds and cooking.

Dickie Bingo (drums) is the dark horse of NA. Most of his private life is kept secret. Sources though, have revealed that Dickie has been spotted driving very, very fast to rural areas, and then riding down very steep hills on a bicycle very, very fast.

Katie Matthews (Keys, flute) is the youngest member of the group. She enjoys dancing at the most unpredictable times possible and watching cable television at 5 o’clock in the morning. Katie is the current NA record holder for staying the longest awake while drinking cans of Stella Artios.

GT Almighty (NA Special Protection Force, megaphone, bats) is a mystical creature. It is believed that He has super-human abilities and witnesses have seen GT change the TV channels with his mind. He is the spiritual mother of all things that involve decisions. GT is the tidiest member of NA and his favourite colour is blue and his favourite food is curry.
