About us
Ever since Neon Kicks exploded onto the Durham music scene in Summer 2007 with a series of incendiary live performances, their synth-fueled, bass-heavy electro-rock has been delighting sell-out crowds and crossing boundaries between the pioneering electro scene and the indie rock circuit.
Neon Kicks teamed up with brand new Durham-based musical powerhouse Dot .45 Music to make their first studio recording for the "Planet Durham" compilation, and instantly gained Radio 1 airplay on the Steve Lamacq and Huw Stevens shows to enthusiastic reception.
They have become stars of the university scene with rave reviews from student press and radio. "The hottest student band in town" - Palatinate newspaper. "Even James Bond would wait for Neon Kicks to finish before knocking off some podgy ring leader" - Durham21.
After a break for uni exams Summer 2008 sees Neon Kicks resume their busy performance diary! We're looking forward to getting the kids dancing again...
