About us
....WHY FOLLOW TRENDS WHEN YOU CAN SET THEM!!!!!?????
Needless, in their own words, have pretty much seen and done it all.
They've long paid their dues and are looking to take that next step. The current incarnation of Needless has been around for five years but the band has existed in some weight, shape or form since 1993.
Currently made up of Az on vocals and guitar, Den on Drums and backing vocals and Al on Bass and backing vocals, Needless have played a huge range of gigs and venues, from pubs to festivals, clubs to bike rallies, and have repeatedly been asked back due to the response from the crowds watching them.
One of their biggest achievements to date has been reaching the finals of the myspace top band competition, one of only three bands worldwide, and the only British act, to do so.
They have been played on radio stations across America and Canada and have had the honour of being the main focus on a radio show focusing on myspace and the impact it has on bands today.
Needless claim not to be your typical rock band, and play music they want to hear, their influence include Metallica, Therapy, Rush, Johnny Cash, REM, Paramore, Megadeath, Foo Fighters and The Offspring.
Having listened to a few of their tracks it's clear that the lads have their claws deeply set in writing grunge heavy tracks with the odd c.umbersome metal cliché melody throw in, all with a strong hint of the Nirvana about them.
Crisp delivery via Az's vocals and clinical guitar and drums makes for easy listening though, the tracks My Twisted You, Shrine and Highway Stone are classic examples of how to induce head-rocking syndrome.
