The Band


About us


I was born in Romford Essex. I moved to Nanterre, Paris, France when I was 4 as my dad got a job there. I went to a English school there where I met Mark Brown whose parents had come from Essex too and whose dad worked with mine. Due to boredom and The Beatles we ended up teaching ourselves the guitar and pretty much spent every day writing songs and practicing together in a barn at his dads farm - playing gigs to pigs, horses, cattle and the local farm hands. We occasionally went busking in the city, but it was a load of grief. Me and Mark moved back to England permanently when we were 17 and pretty much instantly started forming bands. In 2002 I started a band called “The Void”. We pretty much played everywhere in England and Scotland a million times and in 2005 we were offered a major label record deal, this fell through and the band fell to pieces. I’ve spent the past year recording songs at home, playing solo acoustic gigs and gigging with various formations of backing band. I recently sold all 150 copies of a limited edition CD collection of home recordings called “The Home Sweet Home Recordings” through myspace and ebay. I have two further albums on sale from myspace at the moment.
