About us


In 2004 My Fabric (originally known as Muddyfunkers) formed, mixing human beatbox with dirty dance beats.

Some of this electronic sound has found its way into My Fabric, consisting of Doug (drums/sequencing), Vern (vocals/guitar) and Sam (bass/keys).

Our sound has now returned to our guitar-based routes, fusing catchy vocal melodies with good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll.

• We have recently received demo of the month in Sound on Sound magazine. Our earlier work has featured on Sony and Microsoft video games such as Mashed and Ford racing 3.

• We were finalists in the 3 First Cut 2007, top 5 amongst over 2000 other entrants!
More recently, we were nominated in the current Bodog Unsigned competition and the AKG unsigned Heroes.

• We have a large and growing fan-base that we keep posted via our website and large mailing list, our gigs are regularly sold out.

• Vern and his ‘human beat box’ featured on the Bat For Lashes album, nominated for the 2008 Mercury Music Prize.
