About us


monophobe are a three-piece who met in North Manchester, England, and didn't hate each other... so they formed a band, recorded a demo and initial review copies were sent out. Mojo magazine said: "Monophobe mix haunting late 60s psychadelic vocals with techno curlicues topped off with Johnny Marr guitar on a startlingly original self-titled outing." Flux magazine added: "Weird, if not quite wonderful." The Manchester Evening News described the band as "Manchester's best kept secret" and BBC Manchester added: "From the soaring epic to the grandiose drive, Monophobe make an impressively dramatic sound."
