About us


Hi we are Monkey Jardin from Hungary. This is a really young and unknown band. The origins of our band came from an older high-school band, called Vulgaris. This band was founded in september, 2006. At the moment we are working on our debut album (we have a really poorly poorly equipped but lovely home studio we love it's atmosphere). Our music is really experimental we like to find new and interesting ways to write and play music and we are special for our love of using acoustic guitars so many times and for not having bass tunes we do not even have a bass player not because we don't like that kind of sound but we thought we can try making music without a bassist and it works, we feel that we can break those old boring verse-chorus-verse stuff and can discover some more interesting things without a 'regular' rock band line-up.
We are still unsigned but aren' intent on signing to a label. Our current line-up had been established in june, 2007.
Our lyrics are written in hungarian but we're still working on english versions and our next plan after releasing our debut album (entitled 'Csillag nélkül' which means: 'Without stars') is to re-record is in english.
We have now 2 songs uploaded here: the 1st one is our first single called 'Fehéroroszlán' (='White lion'), and the other one is a strange mixture of some short snippets from our upcoming album.
