About us
MINUTES TO LIVE started life as a simple advert posted online, it read "Metal guitarist, Based in Cardiff, looking to form the worlds second best band behind Iron Maiden". From this advert came a string of replies and various jamming sessions that eventually formed the core of Lukey D (Guitar), James (Vocals from Tredegar) & Wing (Guitar from Barry). TV joined on drums from the sleepy town of Porthcawl, and Tom talked his way into playing bass via his job in Cardiff Guitars (and some hefty discount).
The current line up got together in July 2007 and since then the band have played a handful of gigs in and around Cardiff. Mixing a blend of old school metal riffs, pop sensible vocals and some floor shattering bass and beats, MINUTES TO LIVE have crafted a sound which is sonically appealing to the majority of rock tastes.
"Take one part Coheed and Cambria, Divide it by Iron Maiden, and Multiply it by Lost Prophets, and you've kind of talked yourself up to be the best band in the world." - False Magazine August 2007
December 2007 saw the band enlist the help of uberproducer Paul Durrant of Stir Studios, Cardiff. These sessions led to the songs that are currently on this myspace page. 2008 will see the band continuing on the live circuit and looking to put out a proper CD release in March/April.
