DEBUT SINGLE

The single Boys are Blue is a funky electro house tune that portrays the message of the fact that men, especially heterosexual males, have to conform to strict and ridgid gender stereotypical ideals imposed on them by society which makes them blue (depressed) also the most homophobic guys are the ones that are secretley gay (pink) and the fact that no one should have to conform to ridgid stereotypical assumptions and we should just all be as one (embrace the light)and that mezmeric are the ones to show people the way!why do boys have to wear blue? Its that kind of retric wrapped in a socratic question that i want people to identify with on a deep level whilst being able to embrace it throught the medium of dance music. electro emotion.


The single itself is being broadcasted throughout the uk by the Gay, Bisexual, and straight community this was done by sending out the track to 500 people and getting them to forward it onto their friends this method has worked considrably and everyday we are getting great feedback from people that have heard the track.



The track is also getting promoted by legendry Shafe audior ehab Dj Promoter, Xfm as well as Dj's throughout the uk

BIOGRAPHY

Mezmeric are a duo from the North of England comprising of Paul Mullen (Music production and composer) and Jon Downham.(Lyrics and vocals) The two formed in 2006 when collaborating on the Track 'Boys are Blue'. Their music is a completely unique sound of a collage of Electronic funk beats with soulful and edgy vocals. The lyrics are minimalist yet if you listen hard enough there is a deep and powerful message behind them. They are inspired by life and pain in equal balance. The first album 'Shades of Grey' will be completed by early 2008 and will be ready to gig mid 2008. Paul Mullen has been in Music Production for 10 years and has been performing professionally since 2000 on the Derby, Chesterfield and the North East music scene. Jon Downham has had past experience in acting and modelling in Manchester and has been singing and performing live across the northwest since his teens. Influences include Goldfrapp, Bjork, Future Sounds of London.... *Mezmeric* also collaborates on remixes and radio edits with music producer with Joe Bonanza. The collaboration was formed between Paul Mullen and Joe in Derby earlier this year and is a Mix of the 'abstract and the commercial' and produces an equally unique sound.
