About us
When Australia's Mandy Kane received a review describing his "Murder In The Daylight" EP as "A wall of sound that it makes Gary Numan sound like Enya on Valium", it inspired the Melbourne electro lover to use MySpace to approach the Godfather of Electro about a potential collaboration.
The result is a blistering, driving, yet suitably dark and heavy, club mix of MK's forthcoming single "25 Seconds".
When Numan and his brilliant production partner, techno hero Ade Fenton heard from Mandy, they liked what they heard, and selected "25 Seconds" to produce a remix.
As he told Undercover News in a recent interview, doing work like this for Gary is rare.
“I do that sort of thing from time to time but I don’t do a lot of it,” he says. “I do it when a particularly good track comes along. These collaboration things can be a lot of good fun and they have the potential to introduce you to a new audience.
"It came up really good actually. In fact, I have suggested that Mandy Kane tour with us when we go there. Now that we have done that remix there is a connection between the two of us and it makes sense for us to go out and do that together. If it is possible and Mandy Kane wants to do it then I am up for it."
Watch this space on that one. Meanwhile, smash it loud.
The single "25 Seconds" will be released in early 2009, through Mummy's Boy Records, distributed by MGM Distribution. Media will be serviced with the full single with the original track, remixes and an acoustic version, January 2009.
