Daily Record's Sound Check Review of
Mama Mayhem: High Heels On Cobbled Streets (Live)

"Another exciting project from Scotland who have mastered sound and image with a great-looking demo CD.

Once you get over the fact they are boys but call themselves Mama Mayhem and aren't some big Mamas like gossip, then you can get ready to do a bit moshing.

With a singer that veers from AC/DC's Brian Johnson and Placebo's Brian Molko, this is good old boy's rock. Lead track Sirens has a great mid-tempo beat and that Molko snarl from the singer. And second track All Ye Hateful is classic AC/DC rock.

The band play Glasgow's Barfly on April 8 and MacRobert Centre, Stirling on April 13.

BIOGRAPHY
Mama Mayhem are a new 4 piece rock band originating from Stirling and partially based in Glasgow.

Stephen Lahbib (vocals) and John Drummond (lead Guitar) formed the band late last year along with David Drummond (drums) and Michael Morris (bass). Since then they have been writing well crafted, dynamic rock tunes.

Mayhem are looking to fill a gap in the music scene by offering good hard melodic rock and roll as opposed to the saturating new punk/indie that everyone seems to be doing these days.

They are close to completing/ releasing their live debut EP called High Heels On Cobbled Streets, all of which was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the band.

They are also new to myspace and so far since January, have had a good reaction. Check out their new Live debut EP, High Heels On Cobbled Streets at http://www.myspace.com/mamamayhemmusic
