About us

Born in 2006 after Kate Moritz, lead vocalist and cover star in the making, joined forces with guitarist Nick Daperis, sticks master Ivan Sheppard and bass playing compadre James Kelly on a dark east London night, the band recorded their first demo within two weeks of playing together, and have been gigging hard and fast ever since. Their no nonsense work ethic and ear for a great pop hook has seen them gatecrash the live circuit and stamp their name on the London punk rock scene.

Their debut seven track EP ‘Too Blonde For You ’ blends sugary melodies with thrashy guitars and scream your heart out lyrics to create Love and a .45’s killer sound. From the crashing intensity of ‘Pearls On Broadway’, the bittersweet pop majesty of ‘Sold Or Seen’, and So Cal influenced ‘Sparks On The Water’, Too Blonde For You is the perfect testimony to Love and a .45’s’s unique brand of pop damaged power punk.
