About us

The Live Wires are a Progressive Rock Indie group who have been on the Manchester scene for a couple of years now, we have recently enjoyed featuring at the 'in the city' festival as well as playing at pretty much all live venues across Manchester.

We are trying to expand our fanbase out of the Manchester area and gain a reputation as a hard working and much gigging band!

Now we are hoping to do most of our Ticketed gigs at the Manchester Academy and In Manchester/Sheffield Clubs, also we'll always try and do one off appearences at good local Pub venues, usually free . to try and give something back to people like enjoying a couple of extra pints and a good night out by not paying for tickets!!

We recently appeared on Pure FM and had chance to get coverage during this years In The City appearance got some radio play and interview time as Matthew and John from the band went down and talked to them about the festival and Matthew recently getting a songwriting award.

You will have seen us Round Town, we have played at: Mcr club Acad, Acad 3, ze Roadhouse, The Dry Bar, Retro bar, Jabez cleggs, The Ruby Lounge, etc.. We have been playin regular like at the Blue Cat in Stockport and The Bakers Vaults Stockport, The Chestergate, The Venue, and many other random venues...
