About us

When Livan started his garage band band in the Summer of 2006 it was intended as a bit of fun - a chance for him and his musical mates to do a little bonding and to experience the sheer unadulterated joy of making their own style of music for their own enjoyment.

Therefore it seems strange that a mere 18 months later, following a brace of gigs at the Clapham Grand, the Water Rats and Dingwalls in London, that Livan is just about to release his first single and is completing the recording of his debut album.

It all started when a chance meeting with 6 x Platinum producer David Creffield left the band with in no doubt that they should begin to take their little project more seriously. The man behind Embrace and the Kaiser Chiefs loved the anthemic choruses and the brooding power of Livan's unique voice and phrasing. The Summer of 2007 was spent playing the above mentioned shows before entering the studio to commence recording with Creffield at the helm.

The first result of the endeavor is Livan's sonically-hypnotic debut single "Life Is Smiling" which will be released in April. In fact, you can hear it now over in the 'Listen' section. So go listen!

Meanwhile, Livan is currently in the process of completing the recording of the forthcoming debut allbum "Democrisy" with the help of David Creffield, John Robertson and Bacon & Quarmby behind the studio desks and the buzz is now building with anticipation and lots of encouraging good vibes.
