About us
Little Black Number are a three-piece alternative rock band based in Glastonbury. To try and pigeon hole the style of music would be an injustice, as they effortlessly move from stomping choruses to laid back verses, yet still finding time to chill out with some acoustic songs in every set. Their 3 part vocal harmonies takes the band to a whole new level to most "rock" bands. Incorporating every aspect of music they can; without one part ever sounding disjointed from another or one song out of place amongst the rest. There is something for everyone with this band. Even if rock isn’t your thing the performance alone is something to see. Each member works in harmony with the other even finding time between songs to poke fun at each other and anyone in the crowd who feels they can join in. They are all competent musicians, which sets them aparts in the “15 minutes of fame” world we live in today. As you will see by the solos and impromptu jams they have, they can hold their own in any style of music they choose.
Little Black Number’s most recent triumph was at the Global Battle of the Bands Regional Final in Torquay, where not only did they received high praise from the judges, they were put forward to play in the England Final in Birmingham. The band has just completed their second album and is currently gigging all round the southwest of England promoting it and themselves.
