About us

'A fusion of kazoos, woodblocks and dirty bass teamed with catchy vocals and a wardrobe your grandpa might well be proud of' (NME Magazine)

'Beguiling wrong-pop that's equal parts lurching bass-heavy tumbling, punk-disco dancefloor hedonism and unashamed pop glee. Bristols brightest young things for sure' (Lo-fi hi-fi)

'LTP are an impossible act to follow. I doubt they'll be playing support slots for long' (Mike White, Venue Magazine)

"A technically masterful, highly enjoyable, totally fresh and original performance... I was subdued by the sheer beauty of it... when it was over i had to fall from a musical utopia" (Epigram newspaper)

"Thank god for Let's Tea Party... One of those little discoveries and glimmers of light that you occasionally stumble across. A 3-piece made up of bass, drums and the brilliant frontman who tried his hand at guitar, keys, cymbals, flute and cowbell as well as vocals… Their frontman had the same Syd Barrett-esque bohemian Englishman thing going on. Cardigans and kaftans, pots and pans! Making music from whatever instruments one can find" (Moles Club, Bath)

'We're in the presence of something special. Last song 'Reptiles' is a hit-in-waiting, catchier than the flu, bouncing and twitching like with woodblock and charm.' (Venue Magazine)

Let's Tea Party were just amazing and have all the ingredients for being a real heavyweight act (bristolbands.com notes on fleece gig)

The genius that is Lets Tea Party were third. For gods sake somebody record these guys. Apparently they don't even have a demo. The teapot banner came out, balloons suddenly appeared in the crowd and the frontman wandered on eating ice cream. "Twinkle twinkle little bat" was read (Alice would be enchanted) and they launched into the first number. 'Barcelona' was second as the frontman built the energy up on his synth before switching to flute for the next one. A funky bassline sustaining him. Next thing we know the frontman has ditched the flute and is playing the bass for 'Seaside Town'. The set ends with all the members have a bloody good dance. Original, fun, talented multi-instrumentalists. Great band! (Ed Cesar, review of Moles botb semi final)
