About us
I am a songwriter from Grays who has been gigging again properly since May in Southend, Chelmsford, Billericay, Grays (the homecoming gigs lol) and at Avfest in Aveley. I recently put together a 4 track demo cd which should be available at any forthcoming gigs or feel free to get in touch should you want one (myspace.com/leebowers1). I'm hoping to record another similarly lengthed cd soon and the next step will hopefully be recording my first album which i'm getting some cool ideas for production and instrumentation wise from my studies as a music production student at Southend. I was once told i sounded like a cross between Led Zeppelin 3 and the Smashing Pumpkins which i took as a huge compliment, they are undoubtedly two of my biggest influences although i think there are many more, especially lyrically and like influences to my approach to it all if that makes any sense. Hopefully the songs sound fresh and honest, any comments you may have are more than welcome. Talking of compliments the best i ever got was when a girl cried when i told her the lyrics to "postcard", without wishing to explain the lyrics i took that as such high praise as when i listen to stuff at home in the right mood i can pick various songs which bring me to tears which i consider to be my favourites, although yesterday i realised some of my favourite tracks are drum and bass or feel good stuff less condusive to tears breaking into-ness but i suppose i'm more into capturing emotions than providing dancable tunes. Ok i think i've gone on a bit already, if you've got this far thanks for your interest i love you all madly lol, bye for now..... Lee
