About us

After many scotish tours,
a trip to brighton,
recording at sawmills
and many other good times.
we are into our third year of playing as a band.

We have unfortunately lost three of our finest members over the past 6 months,
but almost as a stroke of luck the right people came along to fill the gaps. Learnt the songs in a matter of weeks and introduced there own style and influences.
And now were better than ever,
So without any more delays.
I introduce,

LAFFIN

Fun loving chester ska-ha.. band here to make you skank laugh fly and get high, If your lookin to enjoy yourself then this is the band for you
Give it up for the good times.
Givein it up for the best times..ya..

Laffin Review
"Ska ha your way to the stage, pull on your punk boots, spit out your funk juice, roll over, and howl for Laffin. Its not the first time I’ve been graced by the pleasure of watching these guys live and I'm sure it wont be the last – every time is always a blast. Whether it be skankin' in mud drenched fields, bouncing in barns or spilling watery pints over someone’s head in Chester. Laffin provide a rainbow arena of skank and sound. High times, skunk rhymes, sax chimes, lemons and limes, grit and grime – we’re all feelin’ fine. The usually adjacent dance floor is swinging like a jungle with natty dreads, twisting heads, waxwork feet spin to the beat. I cant help but throw down my pen and dive into the lion den, where I’m knocked straight down to the floor, then pulled up to move some more. The set is lively, inundated with colour and sound, just listen to the lyrics in one song and you’ll know that Laffin are bouncing around in life’s' finest park of fun; where the reeds grow wild, dandelions bend and purple haze rises from the brink of an iris. And when the rain comes its wild and sporadic, drenching you right to the white of your bone. When you go home, you’ll want to take Laffin in your pocket. Cursed by the love of the crowd, they carry on the experimental reggae and ska long after time, it’s like tonight they made summer come crawling out the shadows and back into fashion. Spirits are flowing and the laughter’s growing. Here we all are jammed in life’s door with the remedy of youth running over the hills like wild horses. Baggy trousers, dreads and smiles – keep your attitude, keep your foolish cool, we don’t need your N.M.E, your new rock indie, that don’t make me feel free, with image and style – you wanna hang loose once in a while. Grate me some reggae, grind me some ska, Who said getting high never got you far."
