The Band


About us


Kris Morris grew up in a coastal town just north of Sydney in Australia. Despite this he doesn't really sound like Jack Johnson, Midnight Oil or INXS. Go figure.

In 2002 Kris accidentally stole a loaf of stale bread and was shipped to the UK. Its been an interesting time - lots of ups and quite a few downs but the journey has brought him to an interesting place. Funny how a bit of heartbreak does that - the only way to get through sometimes is to write it down and get it out.

With influences such as Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Ray Lamontagne and Ryan Adams, the sound that has emerged is a dynamic mixture of country, folk and blues. Throw in themes of hope, faith and redemption, and the result is a bunch of memorable tunes delivered with masses of passion. The Little Light EP captures the heart of the journey - hopes, fears, tears and that little glimmer you catch when you can sense the way out. It could be the start of something pretty darn special.
