About us


Johnny Get the gun are a young four piece Powerpop / Rock band from Essex, fusing together elements of bands such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones while adding a modern twist influenced by bands like Green Day and McFly.

Formed in the summer of 2006 from recently split up bands, Dismembered August and Hysteria. Johnny Get The Gun have quickly progressed from the rehearsal room to the stage. Recording their first 5 track Ep (Let's Go To Work) out now!!

Since Being together jgtg have progressed a lot as band and are hard at work on new music. We intened to record a brand new mini album early 2008 and gig around all other the country. we are currently looking for a management to take us on to teh next level!
So if like a band with big melodies and catchy choruses then you've found it.
