About us

2008 dawn's the arrival of JMC's self titled debut release 'Gatecrash The Hate Campaign', 9 tracks of their cunningly calculated brew of rock/metal recorded once again at the infamous Washoose in Scotland, studio of none other than Crafordjohn's "Bone".

Having recently played support to metal legends Diamond Head and also BUCKCHERRY at Glasgow's premier venue The Cathouse and to Adam Bomb glam dude from New York, JMC blasted through an hour of guitar based debauchery from their rapidly growing, renowned repertoire.

'Gatecrash The Hate Campaign' takes the band's renowned riffology to a new level of complexity with some axe grinding moments, delicate tunes and melodies coupled with the lyrical energy and personal accounts of guitarist/front man Justin McConville accompanied by Nikki Hawryliw ( guitar ), Andy Burton ( bass ) and Derek Rae ( Drums ).

Gatecrash the hate campaign is a very compositional album of rock/metal kicking off with "The trigger", a rapid gallop of guitar, bass and drums to find "the trigger inside". "Where do we go from here?" The rhetorical question and apt title for the second track with killer lines "…on the road to Damascus waiting for the lights to shine" and "…she asked 'if you were the devil would you want to be the only one?'". "My black rose"," Golden summer" and "Beautiful world" form a part of a more delicate side to the band, "the golden summer is over", "it's such a beautiful world, I can't believe that you're not in it". Storm of the century is a track loosely based on the Stephen King book of the same name "give me what I want and I'll go away". The album has 2 epic tracks which are the climax at the centre of the album, "Stop" and "The maker" respectively appear on the album as a musical opera followed by an intense sound-scape and a reprise of the former heralding the line "start the world I want to get on".
