About us
"David O'Flynn" AKA "JD" Started out with music back in 2000 When he first started learning to play guitar. He taught himself how to play guitar and then Joined a band with a few friends from college called "Ferd". "JD" was with "Ferd" for a few months but with the lead singer moving away for uni the band shortly came to an end.
Then "JD" formed a new band with his friend "Luke Ward" who he had influenced to play bass. Then with a drummer and a singer he formed the band "Ultravioleteye". "Ultravioleteye" Played many local gigs and also recorded an EP called "Ghandi's Secret Diary" They also played in the local battle of the bands to a huge lively audience. But shortly after the lead singer "Matt Crossley" left the band for personal reasons. But months later took on a new Singer "Stevey" to start a new fresh sound. But the band came to an end shortly after when again Uni had got involved.
Then together "JD", "Luke" and the drummer from "Ultravioleteye" "Rob" Decided to carry on with "Rob" on Lead Vocals, "JD" still on guitar and "Luke Ward" on bass. Also taking on "Mark Deans" who drummed for the first band "JD" was involved with, "Ferd". Together they formed the band "Science Murders Dreams" in which "JD" Wrote the majority of the music with "Rob" Co-Writing the lyrics. "Science Murders Dreams" played many gigs an were a hit in High Wycombe at "The White Horse". They also supported the Hugely popular "Enter Shikari" at "The White Horse". After a good 6 months of gigs "Mark" had many commitments going on outside of the band and sadly had to leave. "Science Murders Dreams" then started to look for a new drummer. But "JD" wanted to pursue a singing project and didn't want to be just a guitarist. Over the time "JD" was in "Science Murders Dreams" he taught himself more instruments to help write more. He then taught himself Bass guitar, Drums and Piano. He then started writing solo stuff for himself.
"JD" then found a bunch of guys from Maidenhead called "Promise of a Street Fight" and they took "JD" on as there Lead Singer / Songwriter and shortly after hit the gigging circuit playing all over the country from Slough to Southampton to Liverpool. But with "JD" being in 2 bands there was not time for both to which "JD" decided to leave "Science Murders Dreams" an concentrate on "Promise of a Street Fight". With many gigs and good times "Promise of a Street Fight" was on high but With members at Uni and living far away there was not alot of time to practice and the band went quiet "JD" decided to take his song he solely wrote an a bunch of others an started working on a Solo Album.
JD has now started promoting himself an getting his music out there to make his mark on the Rock/Alternative Music scene. Rock on!
