The Band
About us
“Take care of the stumps and the runs will take care of themselves.” – Cassell’s Book of Sports and Pastimes (1893)
Drawing their inspiration from the great British game, How to Dress for Cricket are a new 3-piece rock band from the noble countryside retreat of Hereford. The batting Line-up of J. Jackson (Bass, vocals), T. Harrington (guitar, vocals) and D. Lewis (Drums), mastered their forward defensive in other bands on the Hereford wicket (The Lakes, Armies of You, The Counterfeits, One Inch Men), before coming together in August 2007 to create their own brand of noise under the above moniker.
As well as rural pastimes, the band draw inspiration from bands such as Kyuss, Groundhogs, Queens of the Stone Age, Fleetwood Mac and ZZ Top. The result is a Blues/Hard Rock delivery that knows when to drive hard and when to groove easy.
Recent supports include The Young Knives, Attic Lights and LA-based, Jubilee.
