About us


Lauren and Joe are both from South London, on the suffering end of Wimbledon Tennis every year. They have come together to create a two piece that fuses the lyrics of angst, nostalgia and a quality of sound that is not too dissimilar from the music your Irish grandfather would link arms with you too.

When your average music listener hears/sees the word “Emo”, they start to panick. Hiding From It’s music is not mainstream Emo music as you or I know it A.K.A. My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco etc.

Hiding From It is not how you or I know “Emo”.

With an EP out, and a new album slowly being churned over and moulded in the factory, Hiding From It are a band that, although mini, are slowly getting more and more noticed on the folk scene, as well as on all the other scenes.
