About us


Hello my name is Hickory Smith
I have been on the music scene a long time now! In the year 2000 I was seriously ill,I nearly died! and had to come off the road from the cabaret scene, againt all the odds I somehow made it through! The doctors were amazed at my recovery! However, I decided that instead of going back to the club life I would start writing my own music once again, (the last time was back in the sixties) Please feel free to go to my website, and dowload all my songs, most are free!
I have done three trips to America from 2004 to 2007, three months in 2004 another three months in 2005, and my latest trip in August of this year to play at the Rockabilly Featival, Jackson Tennessee. In the states I have done four TV shows, and about twenty or more radio shows, and I have come back home and done BBC GMR, Phil Woods show, as Mr Manchester on the 20th of Sep 2007. My comedy Christmas song "I just want an Eccles cake for Christmas" was played on SalfordCity radio 94.4FM.a few times. Here is my latest addition "Better World" I wrote this song for a man called Frank Ewing, we met him one day in 2005 at Jackson Tennessee, he approached us for a chat, and we became that good friends with him, He gave us a house to live in! And he has opened up a new business called Better World, to help the "inbetween people" find good homes. He owns about a hundred or so!
