About us
Heretics and Lovers are a 5-piece alternative, post hardcore band with a melodic twist. Their debut album "Prayers to an empty sky" takes the listener on a journey through the progression and frustrations of life, weaving intricate, swirling guitars, a solid bass line, and soaring vocals into an exciting album which pushes the boundaries of the genre. Combining heaviness with moments of calm, this album will keep your attention from start to finish.
The band spent 2007 building a name in the UK underground music scene. Mostly playing shows in support of our first release, the digital download only ep ‘The Eretica Sessions’. The band spent the latter part of 07 huddled up in their rehearsal space writing new material ready for there debut album “Prayers To An Empty Sky”, Whilst at the same time building the studio which they recorded in. Working with producer Dan Dexter, they pushed their sound to a new level in creating a “descriptive words” album bursting in crunchier guitars, ethereal vocals and driving rhythms. 2008 is going to be an exciting year as the band push their sound further and reach bigger audiences.
